Make-A-Wish Christmas Car Show – Dec 8th 2013
Make-A-Wish Australia is a fully self funded foundation granting the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions.
A big part of what we do includes fundraising to subsidise these wishes and bring joy to these kids.
The Hume Branch of Make-A-Wish is currently planning a major fundraising car show two weeks before Christmas on 8th December at Essendon Airport....
The event will be sponsored by Essendon Fields.
This event will be a Car Show and Family Day with the main emphasis on family and kids having fun, as well as a wonderful display of Chrome Bumper Classics, Muscle Cars, Customs and Hotrods, and a display of Shelby’s.
Special vehicles on display will include Batman with the Batmobile and Doc with the Back to the Future DeLorean time machine.
It will be a Christmas extravaganza with entertainment including:
Opportunities to win helicopter flights,
Continuous raffles offering great prizes,
Music and dancing,
……….. and of course an appearance from Santa.
BBQ sausage sizzle, coffee, drinks, ice cream will all be available.
A specially invited Make-A-Wish recipient will also be there to demonstrate his wish gift.
AusJet Aviation Group is donating the proceeds from a joy flight in our 1943 DC3 aircraft flying the coast line of the bay and around the city of Melbourne, departing from Essendon Airport at 2.00pm.

We will be chartering a McDonnell Douglas DC3 aircraft to the Temora Airshow, operated by Air Nostalgia, on 2nd November 2013. The aircraft will be flying into Temora Airport and will be on static display amongst other vintage aircraft making this possibly a once in a life time opportunity.
The timetable for the day is as follows:
Depart: Essendon Airport at 0800 for a arrival at Temora by 1015.
Depart: Temora Airport at 1600 for a arrival at Essendon by 1815.
Note: Passengers will be required to be at Essendon Airport 40 minutes before departure.
Price: $625 per person, which includes general entry into the airshow.

AUSJET AWARDED ERGON ENERGY CONTRACT

After a Comprehensive Tender process Ausjet have been successfully awarded the ROAMES Project, Provision of Aviation Operations Contract by Ergon Energy.
The company is very excited by the opportunity to now play a part in the support of the new ROAMES Program. The world leading ROAMES technology, developed by Ergon Energy and its partner organisations, allows the creation of precise, 3D geo-spatial representations of assets such as electricity networks, and comprises specially modified aircraft with sensors that include photographic and LIDAR distance measuring equipment.
As a vegetation and asset management tool, ROAMES is a fundamental part of Ergon Energy's core business. It will lead to reduced costs, as well as increased safety and reliability of electricity supply.
With approximately 5000 hours to be flown annually by Ausjet, we are pleased to be able to play a part in what potentially will be the next "worlds best practice".
The Ausjet management are greatfull to its own dedicated team whom have all played their part in demonstrating the capabilities and depth of Ausjet to Ergon Energy / ROAMES.

The AusJet team would like to welcome back Con Angelides after a break of some 10 years from working with the company, he returns as the new chief pilot. We are all excited to have someone of Con's caliber on board to continue to maintain the high standard of the companies flight department, while mentoring the new inductees through the various levels available within the company. His credentials are long and distinguished, covering flight training in single engine aircraft through to night freight operations in DC9 jet aircraft spanning some forty years. FIRE SEASON 2011-2012

It is that time of year again and we now have two dedicated KingAir B200 aircraft fitted with pressurized camera hatches for the Department of Sustainability & Environment's specialized scanning equipment.
The aircraft are housed at our Melbourne head quarters on 24/7 standby, should a fire or multiple fires break out some where in the state. It's nice to know that we have this type of capability of sending "real time" information to the command center, assisting in the accurate relaying of information to the crews on the ground. Lets hope that we do not have to use it for anything too serious.
